Jackie was born in Papua New Guinea and raised in Canada by her Jamaican mom and a Canadian dad. She holds a Bachelor of Science from McGill University in Montreal, where she also played varsity women’s soccer.
A proud public servant fluent in English and French, Jackie joined the Veterans Affairs Canada family in 2009, holding progressive operational, strategic, and human resource roles. In 2020, she received the prestigious departmental Executive Leadership Award. Most recently, she served as the department’s first Executive Inclusion Officer leading the Anti-racism Task Force. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership with the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Jackie has volunteered her time offering interview prep services with the Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia and working on fundraising events with Dress for Success. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for Soccer Nova Scotia, ensuring all kids have access to the beautiful game. She is happy to be part of the UpAll Advisory Board.
A recent transplant to Minneapolis, you can find her playing pickleball with her husband or walking her Cavalier King Charles spaniel puppy in her spare time.
